Programme overview
Conversations That Matter is a workplace communication programme focused on the exchanges that shape trust: giving and receiving feedback, raising concerns, handling disagreement and navigating difficult conversations between colleagues and across departments.
Participants practise these conversations with each other in realistic role plays built from their own context, receive structured feedback, and leave with simple frameworks they can use the next day.
Why this matters
When communication between people or departments is weak, problems surface late, feedback is avoided, and small frictions grow into lasting tension. Most people know what they should say — they lack the practice and confidence to say it well.
Learning objectives
Participants practise how to…
- Prepare for and open difficult conversations constructively
- Give feedback that is specific, fair and usable
- Receive feedback without defensiveness
- Listen actively to understand, not just to reply
- Resolve misunderstandings before they escalate
