Common questions from HR, L&D and business leaders about experiential learning, how Kraft Connect designs programmes, formats, delivery locations, measurement and how to request a proposal.
Experiential learning
Experiential learning is learning through doing and then reflecting on what happened. Instead of listening to a presentation, participants take part in an activity, simulation or conversation, notice how they behaved, make sense of it in a facilitated debrief, and decide how to apply it. The idea is closely associated with David Kolb's experiential learning cycle.
In a corporate setting, experiential learning uses structured activities — role plays, simulations, team challenges, creative and reflective formats — that mirror real workplace situations. Each activity is followed by a facilitated debrief that links behaviour in the room to behaviour at work, and ends with specific commitments participants take back to their roles.
Traditional training typically transfers information: a trainer explains, participants listen. Experiential learning puts participants in the situation first, then helps them draw insight from it. Both have a place. Behavioural capabilities — leadership, communication, collaboration, emotional intelligence — tend to respond better to experience, practice and reflection than to information alone.
The KRAFT Method™ is the set of five principles behind every Kraft Connect programme: Know Yourself, Relate Better, Act Intentionally, Flourish Together and Transform Continuously. It describes a progression from individual self-awareness to team effectiveness to organisational impact.
Programmes and design
A Kraft Connect programme usually includes a discovery conversation, a programme designed around your objectives, facilitated experiential sessions, structured reflection, and action commitments. Longer engagements can add pre-work, follow-up sessions, manager involvement and agreed measures.
We follow six steps: Discover (listen to your people and context), Diagnose (identify the behaviours and capability gaps behind the challenge), Design (build the journey, content, experiences and format), Deliver (facilitate the sessions), Reflect (help participants and leaders make sense of what shifted) and Reinforce (follow-ups and action commitments).
Yes. Every programme is adapted to the organisation's context and the participants' level, and KRAFT CUSTOM programmes are designed from scratch around a specific challenge.
Formats range from a focused 90–120 minute workshop to half-day and full-day programmes, corporate offsites, multi-month leadership journeys, monthly learning series and long-term L&D partnerships.
Kraft Connect's methods are designed primarily for in-person delivery, where experiential learning works best. Online or hybrid versions of some programmes can be discussed, with activities adapted to the format.
